Helping Local Businesses

Helping Local Businesses

Give it a like

We all want to help the local businesses survive this time. We have been told to keep buying things from the local grocer, restaurant, brewery, clothing store, etc. However, what can you do for the small businesses in your area that don’t have actual products that you can purchase? It could be a small design firm, wedding/family photographer, musician. or anyone whose pipeline has been shut off at the moment. This is all new for us, but the marketing will always be the same for the small guys. Word of mouth and social media interaction, if you see someone posting work that they’ve done, an article that they’ve shared, or just a recent update on their business page, I encourage you to hit that like button and share what they posted. It can’t hurt and takes seconds to do. Nothing would make that business person happier than to see their post shared, liked, and commented on by everyone they know. You will see more things shared by people who haven’t been active on the social channels but help them out and give them a like and a follow.

Some things you can do to help a small business at this time:

• Like, comment and share a post.

• Head over to their Google Business, Yelp, Linkedin, or Facebook pages to give them a review and suggest to your friends to like the page.

• Know a friend that could use their help? Send an email to that person and introduce virtually.

• Reach out to them and see how the’re doing, some may be thriving at this time, some might not.

• Any other ideas? eave em in the comments!

Thank you, and stay healthy my friends!
