ABCA: The Road Show
Back in November, we headed to Nashville, TN for a few days shooting with Coach Sheets and the American Baseball Coaches Association to film for their pilot project called ABCA: The Road Show. The Road Show is meant to give baseball coaches and fans some added insight into coaching strategies, player development, facility tours and really, just a deeper dive into college and high school baseball programs around the country. Our two assignments were Ensworth High School and Vanderbilt University, both in beautiful Nashville, TN. Video and Film production isn’t always easiest when you’ve got families at home that you hate being away from. We’re very fortunate to not only live in Northern Colorado but that most of our work takes place here as well. But when the opportunity comes to travel, we’re all for it!
Our first couple days filming were at the home of the 2014 NCAA World Series Champions, Vanderbilt University, coached by the one and only Tim Corbin. This was to be an MTV Cribs style shoot, exploring the ins and outs of the amazing facilities they have on campus. All while having a great discussion on why these facilities are so important to the success of Vanderbilt’s program. We shot this with our Sony A7sii, x70’s, GoPro 7 and the trusty iPhone 8.
